Eduwatch, CDD & NNED Implement The SERVE Project With Support From STAR Ghana Foundation

Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch) is partnering the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD) and the Northern Network for Education Development (NNED) to develop a framework for Civil Society advocacy for educational rights of vulnerable students in this COVID-19 era and beyond.

The Securing Educational Rights of Vulnerable Students in the COVID-19 & Post COVID-19 Era (SERVE) Project, is being funded by STAR Ghana Foundation, and is aimed at enhancing Civil Society advocacy on the educational rights of vulnerable students in COVID-19 and beyond.

The objective is to document evidences of exclusion or risks of exclusion of vulnerable students from education during COVID-19, documented gaps in policy and institutional framework for delivering virtual learning to vulnerable students, ineffectiveness in accessing virtual learning programmes to meet learning needs of vulnerable children, and documented evidence of COVID-19 health and safety compliance in schools, while recommending a framework for Civil Society advocacy for equitable access and inclusion in virtual learning, and strategies for increased efficiency in governments COVID-19 education policy response.

SERVE is being implemented in eight districts across Ghana.
