Inspite of free SHS, each year, about 10,000 students who qualify, are unable to enroll in secondary schools. Poverty is a key factor, as some cannot afford GHC 3,000 to finance their prospectus.
The average cost of Tertiary Education is GHC 6,000 a year. Many poor students are not in school because of financial issues.
Eduwatch has since 2014 been supporting students with scholarships.
